ガマ沼(Gama Pond)

【がまぬま】
周囲1.5kmの八幡沼の向かい側にある周囲500mの小さな沼です。
標高1,613mの八幡平頂上展望台から見返峠へ向かう途中にあります。
硫黄コロイドという物質が溶け込んでいるために、沼の水は碧がかった美しい青色をしています。

This small pond with a circumference of 500 meters sits alongside the much larger Hachiman Pond (circumference: 1.5 km). It is on the path from Hachimantai Summit observation deck (elevation: 1,613 m) to Mikaeri Pass. Due to a substance called sulfur colloid which is dissolved in the water, the pond has a beautiful azure color.
