七時雨山(Mt. Nanashigure)

新日本百名山のひとつで、八幡平市の北側に位置する標高1,063メートルの山。「日に天候が七回も変わること」が名前の由来とも。
森林浴を兼ねた登山や麓に広がる田代平高原の牧歌的な景色が人気のスポット。毎年５月第４日曜日に山開きが行われます。

Chosen as one of Japan's new 100 famous mountains, this mountain has an elevation of 1,063 meters and is located in the north of the city. The name originates from the belief that the weather here changes seven times a day. It is a popular spot for simultaneously 'forest bathing' while mountain climbing and the idyllic views of the Tashirotai highlands spread across the foothills. The mountain climbing season starts here every year on the fourth Sunday in May.
