三ツ石山(Mt. Mitsuishi)

標高1,466メートル、裏岩手縦走路の途中にある山で、頂付近がどの方向からも3つの峰に見えることが由来とも。
本州一早い紅葉といわれ、どこまでも広がる秋色の絶景が登山者を楽しませます。

With an elevation of 1,466 meters, this mountain is on the range that stretches across the back of Iwate. The name originates from the three peaks near the summit which can be seen from any direction. It is said to have the earliest autumn leaves in Honshu and mountain climbers are delighted by the autumn colors that spread in all directions.
