源太岩展望所(Genta-Iwa Observation Area)

【げんたいわてんぼうしょ】
岩手県側の八幡平アスピーテライン上にある標高1255m地点のビュースポット。岩手山など美しい山々を一望できます。
アスピーテライン入口から八幡平山頂レストハウスの中間地点にあり、ドライブ途中のひと休みにもお勧め。
迫力ある源太岩も見どころです。

This viewing spot is on the Mt. Iwate side of the Hachimantai Aspite Line at an elevation of 1255 meters. You can take in Mt. Iwate in one beautiful sweeping view here. Located between the entrance to the Aspite Line and the Hachimantai Mountaintop Rest House, it is a good place to rest on the drive and you can also view the charming Genta-Iwa rock.
