八幡平の名所

八幡沼

【はちまんぬま】
八幡平にある沼の中で一番大きい沼。
その周囲はアオモリトドマツの原始林と湿原に囲まれ、ニッコウキスゲやチングルマ、ワタスゲなど高山植物の宝庫となっています。
約1時間ほどで沼を一周する散策コースは花を楽しみながら回れる人気のコース。

This is the largest of several ponds near Hachimantai Summit. Surrounded by wetlands and a primary forest of Maries' fir, the area is a treasure trove of alpine plants such as day lilies, cotton grass, etc. The approximately one hour loop walk around the pond is a popular course for enjoying the flowers.

森の大橋

【もりのおおはし】
岩手県県民の森側にあり、松川渓谷にかかる橋で、岩手屈指の紅葉の名所です。
鮮やかな青色の渓谷と新緑や紅葉などのコントラストが人気。

This bridge crosses Matsukawa Gorge near Iwate Prefectural Citizens' Forest and is one of Iwate's foremost locations for viewing autumn leaves. The contrast of new green and autumn leaves and the vivid blue of the gorge is popular.

八幡平ドラゴンアイ（鏡沼）

【はちまんたいどらごんあい（かがみぬま）】
八幡平頂上付近にある、噴火口に水が溜まったことでできた沼「鏡沼」。
例年５月下旬～６月中旬頃にかけて、雪解けの様子が竜の目のように見え、『ドラゴンアイ』と呼ばれる注目スポットです。
自然現象のため、運が良ければ出会えます！

Close to Hachimantai Summit, this pond formed when water collected in the crater of a volcano. Typically from about late May to mid-June, the shape of the snow melt looks like a dragon's eye and garners much attention. If you are lucky, you might even be able to see this natural phenomenon for yourself.
